14:40-16:10 What is good about teaching across disciplines – within the humanities, within the sciences, and across the humanities and the sciences? Why do we need "to cross" in general education? For the purpose of general education, is it necessary to distinguish crossing disciplines in the humanities from crossing disciplines in the sciences? For teachers, how might crossing disciplines in the humanities compare with crossing disciplines in the sciences? What kind of institutional support do teachers of general education need to cross disciplines well? For students, what methods of teaching contribute to understanding across disciplines?
