Co-organized by the Office of University General Education and Second Bookstore, the Book Club aims to promote reading by introducing quality books. The Book Club holds gatherings once a month at the School of Continuing and Professional Studies Centre in Central. Speakers of the Book Club are from different fields, and the topics of rich variety, covering both Chinese and Western works. Participants also provide their insights, which leads to enthusiastic discussions. Books discussed in the past have included The Death of Ivan Ilyich, Yue Yue Ji (a book on the history and appreciation of music), Civilization and Capitalism, The Plague, the Yi Jing, and others.
